GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - In an exciting turn of events, former Gators star Wyatt Langford made a heartfelt return to his hometown of Trenton on Saturday, where he took the lead in hosting the Wyatt Langford Baseball Camp.
This remarkable event attracted over 100 enthusiastic young athletes, all eager to learn from expert coaches including Wyatt Langford himself, along with fellow former Gators such as Colby Halter, Ryan Slater, and Blake Purnell. The coaching roster also featured notable figures like Austin Miller, KJ Alba, Jason DeMartino, Randy Early, and John Colacci, who is the Owner and Founder of Florida Hardballers, alongside Kevin Maris, another founder of the same organization.
In related news, it’s worth noting that Wyatt Langford has made headlines not only for his impressive skills on the field but also for setting the College World Series record for the longest home run. Additionally, he was selected fourth overall in the 2023 MLB Draft, showcasing his exceptional talent. During the 2025 season, Langford boasted a batting average of .241, hitting 22 home runs, driving in 62 RBIs, and achieving a .775 OPS.
